The design is intended for a school project that focuses on rebranding a business. I chose to redesign Party Mart because I know I can provide them with a new modern and clean brand based on their original brand.
Party Mart offers disposables and rentals for all event types. My role was to redesign the logo, create a page on the current website, and create a POP display.
Programs Used - Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop & Figma
The brand's colours need to remain the same as well as to keep their initial wordmark style logo, as I wanted to keep its original idea present. The goal is to refine the design in a visually simplistic manner. The logo process began with brainstorming, then sketches, followed by searching for fonts for my top four sketches and creating digital versions. After receiving feedback, the final logo was fixed and finalized.
The brand’s overall look and feel are fun, vibrant, and playful. M is a party hat to be used as the second version of the logo. The business card has confetti and balloon elements; the predominant colour is blue, as it is gentle on the eyes but still bright, creating consistency between the different printed and digital elements.
I wanted this project to solve the problems and provide significant benefits. I realized that because of the number of products Party Mart has, it can be overwhelming for the client to buy. My solution was to come up with a page where customers could visualize the decorations for their events.
In this section, customers answer a set of questions to filter the types of party products they want and need.
In this section, customers select the settings (tables, walls, balloons, outdoors, indoors, etc.). This page will also help ease the filtering of products.
Right: Customers see their options after filtering. They see the price and add it to the cart.
Center: Customers can virtually decorate spaces. In this example, they envision the final results.
Left: Customers see the list of selected items before adding them to the cart. They can see their totals, remove items, and filter their choices.
Customers can customize items within the same page using a pop-up window.
Bottom: Customers will see suggestions for products and promotions.
Customers see the price, stay in the budget, and filter their options based on price and popularity. seeing everything in the setting will avoid buying items they do not need; therefore, there will be fewer returns to the store. However, with this feature, they also notice when they are missing something for their event, and the bottom sign adds a reminder, resulting in more sales for the store.
This page offers a clear outline of the products, which is easy to use and self-explanatory, and adds value to the shopping experience and what the party mart has to offer. If customers are aware of this feature, Party Mart becomes their store of choice.
The assignment requirement is that the POP display is not meant to sell a product, but to be used as an advertisement.
Using previous research and mind maps, a set of sketches was created. My goal was to create a POP Display that was difficult to miss and unforgettable. To achieve this, I had to make it interactive and enjoyable.
The outcome is a huge pinata that can be seen from far away and from the second floor of a mall, and the colours of the pinata follow the continuity of the brand. Interactivity was implemented by having candy machines on the legs of the pinata, which was not only fun but also created a memorable experience.
